I really hated to pull the trigger on him. I was trying to justify racing him at least part of next year, but I've had four great years from him.
I'm glad I went ahead and did it, because I'm getting a ton of flat A hypos from my dirt mile mares (Holland Road is the only other sire that I've gotten that with on those mares), AND I'm also getting a ton of A and A- hypos with him from my dirt route mares.
I decided to place him at $50,000 for this year, and then I'll re-evaluate, as best I can under the new system, if the fee needs to be higher next year. So, I'll probably take him down at the start of next year for a few days while I try to figure that out.
Absolutely love this horse! For his second career, he's seems to be getting a promising start.
