Philadelphia Blue- 2 X STEWARD APPROVED!!

Post by Eric Gray »

Philadelphia Blue https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1328337 has retired and is currently standing at stud. By Philadelphia Eagle out of Adelaide Blue (Blue Bayou), his $2,463,000 makes him the great Blue Bayou's top earning grandson.

He made 26 career starts, all but his initial MSW, coming against graded stakes company. A winner of half those starts, he also finished with 2 seconds and 2 thirds and finished out of the money just 3 times.

Grade 1 wins included the Z Prince Memorial Stakes, Scott Eiland Memorial Desert Marathon, Another Option Stakes (player created) and the Kentucky Blue Stakes.

Grade 2 wins came in the Ever the Same Stakes and the Brakebills Stakes.

Grade 3 wins came in the Fighting with Wit Stakes (twice), Baby Blue Stakes, Deals with the Devil Stakes, Tremendous Stakes, and Manhattan Stakes.

He finished 2nd in both the Midsummer Classic and Steward's Cup Juvenile losing both times to the great Steamboat Willie. He was third in the Arcadia Million behind Unmerciful and 4th in the Year 60 Louisville Derby and Long Island Classic, both won by Willie.

He was a grade 1 winner at 3,4, and 5 years old. He won graded stakes at 1 1/16, 1 1/8, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, and 2 miles. Despite that clear distance versatility, he is at his best at 1 1/2-2 miles and would add length to any pedigree thanks to being (2x3) to Hold Above.

He has hypomated flat A with about half of my blue hens, who are hens in name only. I am interested to see what he might do with a real Blue Hen.

He will start at $35,000 with a 50% discount for breedings with either a stakes producing or stakes winning mare. 75% discount if they are both.

If your foal initially gallops stakes or better, your breeding fee will be refunded. If you get an A hypo and breed to that mare, you will receive a second breeding 50% off. These offers are retro to anyone who has already bred to him. Thank you for your consideration.

Not sure whether or not it is a breedable stat or not, but I now know that he has a brave heart.
