King Moonracer to be pensioned

Post by Laura Ferguson »

I'm dropping his fee and extending him. He's been a pretty solid sire. Looks like the turf miler division has gotten hit with a number of pensionings this week.

This is sad news for me as I used him frequently. I missed the pensioning but I got my breeding in early so I have a last crop of daughters out of him.

I just wanted to say thanks for standing both your Silver Bourne sons. It would have been easy to pension off King Moonracer when Fearless Spirit exploded into the division the way that he did. Because you stood both at stud, I've been able to have some fun with inbreeding/linebreeding to Silver Bourne through mixing both their sons and daughters.

I just checked and I have 22 daughters of his this season. I knew I was going to hammer him this year but that's more than I thought. Also one lone colt.
