First of all I know gallop comments aren't the end-all be-all.
I'm a little surprised after retiring this struggling filly: https://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.ph ... ID=1573687
Festivus gallop LB productive. No breeding/longer career comment while a yearling. Later gallop allowance peak. After she peaked as an allowance she got the longer career comment. When I retired her I expected a "formidable", especially since she was struggling on the track. Instead, I got a "Star".
Just wondering if anyone can explain where a Star BSA fits into these gallops?

Re: Yet another gallop comments question
I wonder if she was one that was going to jump after peak? I have a gelding that allowance peaked as a 3yo and then a full year later jumped to stakes peak.

The second and 3rd Dams had some clear talent, although not superstars. I can easily see this mare as a Star

Re: Yet another gallop comments question
Most of my allowance peak longer career have also been formidable (or worse).
This allowance peak longer career turned out a Star (although she was an allowance LB and had a higher SF than yours):

I guess your mare must have had some point higher racing than breeding numbers. (Edit to correct the switch up)
Maybe she was a timid soul or never really ran at her true potential..?

Re: Yet another gallop comments question
Notre Right raced at only 8.5F and 9F but her dam won 3 races at 10F (twice) and 11F once. I think Notre Right was struggling because she never raced at her preferred distances.

Re: Yet another gallop comments question
That's probably correct. I've been struggling with Notre Timing's daughters. I'm hoping to get better with entering my TRs at the right distance, which includes needing to be patient enough for the longer races to open up.Ronnie Dee wrote: ↑10 months ago Notre Right raced at only 8.5F and 9F but her dam won 3 races at 10F (twice) and 11F once. The stud seems to do best as well with his offspring running at 10 or 12 furlongs.Ronnie Dee wrote: ↑10 months ago Notre Right raced at only 8.5F and 9F but her dam won 3 races at 10F (twice) and 11F once. I think Notre Right was struggling because she never raced at her preferred distances.

So what you're both telling me is to do is sit on my hands and stop retiring long distance routers early?Katie Stepanian wrote: ↑10 months agoThe stud seems to do best as well with his offspring running at 10 or 12 furlongs.Ronnie Dee wrote: ↑10 months ago Notre Right raced at only 8.5F and 9F but her dam won 3 races at 10F (twice) and 11F once.
