New GP Sires

Post by The Steward »

One for each distance for Appys, and a couple new QH mids.

Sorry Paints, I got tired.

He Looks Hot is not one of the new sires, he has no stud fee and thus isn't standing. He's also not listed under "mid" anything?

The new GP sires are not showing up on the Freshman sires list?

I'm gun shy about these. I spent a LOT of game points on the ones late last year and got pretty crappy results. I really don't want to add up how much money I spent for no freaks, 7 stakes and a bunch of bad ones.lol Oh yea and this doesn't even count the 12 I bred for Lisa...

My yearlings-

Appy:
Appsolutely T:Productive, allowance, stakes
BG Spider Monkey: Productive x2, solid
One More Last Time: Allowance x2, solid

Paint:
Son of a Grip: Allowance, productive
PHQ Goodbye Earl:Allowance, solid
Memoriesoflilhero: Productive, Solid x2
Freighttrain B:Productive

QH:
Sunnysyde:Stakes x2,Allowance, Productive x3, Solid
Freighttrain B: Stakes,Productive x 4, allowance,solid
Deniro: Stakes x3,Allowance, Productive, solid
Blue Corazon: Solid, Allowance x2, Productive x4

Trotter:
Porsche: Allowance
Devious Man: Stakes, Allowance
Prayer I Am: Allowance x 2

Copy that, Lou. I had one year I did nothing but crossbred or gp studs and they all tanked.

Not fair to blame the new gp studs.
Everyone is in the same boat.
I easily bred 200-300 QH last season and only had 2 freaks and one of them was one of the new GP sires.

You have a point, Pete. Just leery of dropping $$ when the new scale slides are so tweaked now. Even when freaks were commonplace I tanked on GP types. With the buckling down of the slide, it would almost be like having a unicorn come from a gp type stud. I'll probably give one or two a try but never again a whole season to GP stallions.

Along those same lines of not judging the new GP sires by the old gallop percents Colored Spotlights who has been the highest freak % paint sprint sire since his first crop only has one freak out of his 119 yearlings.

I'm not blaming the new gallop comments. I LOVE them! But by any standard I got * results. lol
