Looking for hot new things to be baby daddies for my paint spring mares

Post by Tammy Stawicki »

I've gotten most of my mares bred but I have a couple more recently retired paint sprinters, including just retired newly minted Steward's Cup winner Hazleton, still in need of a baby daddy. I could go with my tried and true favorites but I'm curious if anyone has a newly retired paint sprinter (or quarter house sprinter eligible for crossbreeding) throwing out A+ nicks that I should be aware of.

Angel Raphael hypos are pretty top notch. At 20k I feel like he’s a steal.

He hypoed A+ to my blue hen mare Ain’t Even Drinkin. Her only other A+ hypo out of 16 hypos is regression.

Out of 16 hypos Blue Label only A+ hypoed to Raphael and regression

Out of 7 hypos Charm My Patch Off A+ hypoed to Raphael and regression.

I could go all day same story with most of my mares I went through. He hypos like regression hypos

Thanks for the heads up! Sending one his way. Will have to use him more next year. I really should hypostallions more instead of just waiting until they have babies on the ground and seeing what they do.
