Is it as strong as breed to same breed?
Like if I had nice Paint mares and wanted to outcross, are my chances of a quality foal just as good with a QH? (assuming their distance compatible, of course)
They take on the breed of the dam, correct?
And finally, let's say I crossbreed and end up with a monster colt - will that colt have as much breeding appeal as a stud who wasn't produced through crossbreeding?
Thanks, and sorry if these are dumb questions lol

Re: Paint/QH Crossbreeding?
Yes, breeding paint to QH does work well. The disconnect seems to be breeding TB to QH that doesnβt work.
The foal takes on the breed of the dam
I mean mixer colts are kinda all over the place with no rhyme or reason for who ends up being superstar stallions, but I know thereβs several QH sired Paint stallions that have been successful, Mark of the Beast for instance was QH sired. Broodmare ability is also good with QH sired mares.

Syncline is another one with better CB stats than straight QH, though even his purebred stats are pretty good.

Ooh, both those boys are really nice! They're each A+ with my mare too, and she doesn't always nick that high.
