Pie's not confusing - well, as long as you use a premade pie crust - I can never get my homemade crusts to come out well.

Put pie crust in pie pan, fill with fruit or other filling, bake at 350 for 20-35 minutes depending on filling...

Building a stable can be a bit more time consuming...

For a little background, "Tim" is my 10 year old son. He was with us this summer when I started playing, and now he's back at his mom's for the school year, and he's on his own. And I can verify he does, indeed, like pie.

He's got a good number of horses for a beginner, a mix of 25 mostly 2 and 3 year olds. But up until a week ago, I had been operating it for him, so I imagine he's just trying to get used to how this all works.

I'm sure he'd appreciate tips from the veterans, especially regarding:

1. How and when to decide what races to enter.

2. How shipping works, and when and where he should do it (ie, the difference between farms and tracks for rest).

3. Those shiny buttons, and when to push them, specifically workouts and gelding.

Thanks guys! I know you'll all be a better resource for him in this game moving forward than I would be. B)

I just talked to him on the phone - like I said, he's still getting the hang of doing this by himself, thanks all for being so patient.

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=32168' target='_blank'>Crystal Tokyo</a>

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=34257' target='_blank'>Duelin' Band Joe</a>

<a href='http://www.simhorseracing.com/horse.php?HorseID=32047' target='_blank'>Hopeful Cry</a>

These would be good ones to start with.

Crystal Tokyo i'd try longer on the turf. Stick with your same equipment.

Hopeful Cry, i'd go to the turf with him. Strong Hope is very turfy. I bred him before i knew what he'd throw, so he's a bit confused. I'd run him in claimers for turf maidens. going 6f-1 mile. Maybe check out what other Strong Hopes have done.

I think you are on the right track with the Bandini.
