Figuring out equipment
Hey there, I have a bunch of yearlings and two year olds that still need equipment. Do any older players have suggestions on how to efficiently find a horse’s equipment set through training? I know you can’t get both pieces of equipment from asking the trainer...

Re: Figuring out equipment
The best way I know is to work them once every week (always on the same day of the week) at the same distance and surface. Every workout you try each individual piece of equipment and then once you've gone through all the pieces you do combinations of the fastest ones. Don't forget to also give them a workout with no equipment just in case one doesn't need any.
I also suggest doing these distances to get the most accurate times:
3 Furlongs for Dirt/Turf/AW Sprinters
4 Furlongs for Dirt/Turf/AW Milers
5 Furlongs for Dirt/Turf/AW Routers
I don't know anything about mixers though so I can't help you there.
