IF i have a leased mare will i be able to breed during the break before and after the age change happens.
Or would the lease be over before that time.

The mare returns to her owner as soon as the year changes over. So as soon as year 55 hits she gets returned whether you bred her or not.
In other words, you can breed her during the break but you have until foals are due to (January 31st at 8pm British time). After that, she gets returned.
