Well, I just entered one, is this help info obsolete?

I think they should clarify this a bit more. You cannot enter in the first week of break because racing and training is closed and all you can do is breed, buy and sell or lease. However, in the second week, racing and training opens so you can train your horses as well as enter races. Then the week after that racing actually begins.

Thanks, Carole. Jeez, I've been sitting on my hands all week when I could have been doing things. This sim has been difficult enough for me as a new player without having to fight the help files as well. Disheartening.

Upon rereading the help info on The Break I supposed I could have figured it out.

What caught my eye originally though were these statements:

"The time in between SIM years is called The Break."

"What You Cannot Do During Break
-Post articles
-Enter races
-Train horses in any way"

I always look on the first week as break and the 2nd week as pre season.
