New Player Contest

I have been looking for a way to put the excitement back into the SIM for myself personally and I have been thinking of this contest for a while.

Starting in Week 4 and ending in Week 7, the NEWBIE Trainer with the highest OTB Percentage at Trial Park will receive a foal out of any of the unbred mares in my stable. I will pay for the breeding and send you the foal. The trainer will get to choose the name, gender gender and color and most importantly SIRE. The only restriction is the breeding cannot be more than 20,000 SIM dollars.

The key to this contest is positioning your horses so that they can do well

There will be four seperate winners. The trainer with the highest percentage OTB in Week 4, Week 5 and Week 6, and Week 7.

The overall winner of this contest, Week 4 to 7 will receive an additional foal out of any of my mares.

Please note for Newbies to be considered part of this contest they must express an interest in this thread. I would prefer that the horses go to people who know they are involved in a contest.

I also changed the start date to week 4.

What a great idea, thank you! I have a stupid question, what does OTB stand for? I always thought it meant Off Track Betting, but that doesn't seem right in this instance. Thank you!!

Also, OTB stand for On the Board, I just learned this two days ago myself- I also previously thought it was betting.

Dang, and here I was thinking "Off Track Betting- now I KNOW I'm better at that than getting my horses in the Sim where they need to be..."

Hopefully, I'll get better enough fast enough to have a shot.

I always thought "Off Track Betting" too, lol (but knew it couldn't be as theres no reason for it in this, lol)!

"On the board" is 1st through 3rd place, the placings that show up on the tote board after the race. "In the money" is 1st through 5th.

Thanks to everyone with the help with OTB - On The Board makes much more sense here.
