They are scary when you don’t expect them, Carole, that’s for sure! I was awake at 1am when the 4.8 happened in Cambridge back in 2008 or 2009. I was chatting online to my friend who was there and I felt it at nearly the same time as her even though I was miles away in Hook. I had pendant lights in my room and one of them got smashed from swinging up and hitting the roof. I’d hate to be in a “proper” quake like they have in Japan and such.

Thanks, we were out on a hike, I sat down to take a break in my favorite spot in the field, she apparently thought it was hilarious (kidding, I was petting her while taking the break and she wanted belly rubs)

Raven is a black lab, 11 week old puppy. She's a future guide dog that I'm raising for the next year. I am INSANE, I have 2 other dogs and my roommate has 2 cats in my 900 sq foot house (Thankfully with a full basement). But she's adorable!

BTW.. Here's a funny dog, who's learning the life of crime. He sure knows how to cover up his bad actions really really fast! lol.

I have nowhere else to post this, we're not posting on social media yet because not all family members have been told, but I'm devastated and need to vent somewhere so... My cousin's husband, in his early thirties, was killed in a snowmobile accident last night. I only have two first cousins, so I considered him my cousin as well. They have a beautiful two and a half year old daughter and my cousin just told us last Wednesday that she's a few weeks pregnant with their second. They were soooo happy, every time I talked to my cousin she said that they finally had everything they've been working for all these years - a family, their own house in a close-knit small town, their own business. I was just texting with her two nights ago about the pregnancy and she was just overflowing with happiness. Now this. My dad and I were set to drive nine hours to Utah tomorrow to see a headache specialist that I've been waiting since August to get an appointment with (I have severe headaches every day and have applied for disability). That trip is going to be grueling enough, but now as soon as I get back I'll be flying to North Dakota for the funeral. That coupled with the emotional distress will make it a hellish week to get through. Of course it's not about me but I want to be in good shape in order to be able to support my cousin.

This is the first news article that's been posted about the crash. We don't know yet if he died instantly or if my uncle, who was riding with him, was able to be with him before he passed. https://www.eastidahonews.com/2018/02/m ... nt-county/
