I loved that series! Let me know how good the book is.
Overall, I liked it. It focuses on the 10th Hunger Games, which is a less evolved version of Katniss' games. There's a lot of stuff in this book that ends up in the later books, which was cool to come across/pick up on. The ending was a little forced, but that's probably my only real complaint with it. It goes pretty quickly.

Suzanne Collins is a talented writer. Did you read her earlier Gregor the Overlander series?

Does anyone else see Monty Roberts in the horse whisperer and wonder if that isn't a coincidence?

I'm having an epic battle in my barn with what turns out to b a raccoon, because I finally saw the little guy last nite. He apparently thought I had left , but I went back in the barn and saw his little hide sneaking into my grain/tack room. He just very slowly turned around and went back into a empty stall. Very cute but hes been driving me nuts lately. First it was getting into the cat food bag, but neatly. Then it was tipping over the garbage can the cat food was hidden in. Then it was spreading said cat food all over the floor and pooping on the counter. Then I locked the cat door so he picked up the empty cat food bowls outside and carried them all over. Then I put out the trap yesterday in the grain room with cat food and apples, which he got all of, sprung the trap without himself inside, and pooped in the cats water bowl, and for the first time got into the horse grain. At least its not an oppossum. And hes lucky I dont like guns.

When I was growing up, we had a ton of cats in our basement, and the occasional opossum that came to eat the cat food. Sometimes the 'possums and the cats would share the feeding pan at the same time.
