at one point do you get excited
my son who is 10 has always been the best swimmer at his swim club now he has just made one of the largest swim clubs in Ontario they have won the title almost every year for the last decade .
he had to try out after his invite and finished 3rd vs 38 kids up to the age of 15 and in oct he has his first Pan Am games swim meet qualifiers .

well first swim meet is over and i am proud to say Xander finished first in the 50m backstroke out of 62 other swimmers his final time was 47.73 the second place swimmer time was 50.22!!!

Congrats to your boy!
You have every right to be thrilled and proud of him and his accomplishments.
Maybe in some near future his name will be paired up with those of Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps, when great swimmers are talked about. 8)

very excited to share that my son has made the regionals and he is one of only two novice swimmers and is the only first year to make them !

Too funny I forgot about this thread!
So here is a update both my kids are swimming my daughter has been written about locally twice now and as for my son at age 15 (last year ) he qualified for Olympic Trials in 4 different races ,he has not swam in a race in over a year now sadly but he has received 38 letters from U.S schools recruiting him and he will write his SAT in May.

Wow Xander that’s incredible!! Congratulations to them both, super happy to hear they’re both doing so well! I don’t know how it works but if he does make it to Olympic Trials let us know, will be cheering for him!

He made Olympic Trials but due to covid he will not get to compete.
