I need to do some more horses! I've been obsessed with portraits lately. I am feeling very inspired though after reading this thread.

The first one of these is from years ago, and not a great photo.. the other two were last year, a sketch and a birthday present to a friend who has an Irish sports horse

I work as a production assistant/artist. My training is in teaching shop class, sculpting, and graphic design. I’m a bit of a jack of all trades though. I sculpt a good bit. Lately ceramics and wood. I really enjoy making things look like what they are. So in my world frogs are frogs, horses are horses, and our puggle is a devil (which he is). I also paint barn quilts, photo op signs, do a good bit of wood turning , and also make butcher block cutting boards and random furniture. I love resin pouring, I’m a trained mold maker, um if it’s art I will throw my hands into it. I freelance caricaturing and illustrating. I also have a Facepainting booth at the local corn maze and spring babies festival. So yeah. I’m artsy and creative much to my family’s dismay at time. Seems I prefer it over cleaning.
I’ll figure out a way to post some pics. My kids and I regularly compete in the Mn state fair. I’m the current beeswax carving champ for the last five years.
Yuppies we make and draw stuff.

So I used to draw a LOT and then went to school for graphic design & illustration. I then turned to be a web developer and now I just write code all day haha. I'll have to get out some of my old artwork from high school & college one day but here is a little clip of a painting I did at one of those Paint your pet parties. I think if I had another hour or two to finish up the details it would be a bit better! And I hadn't done any artwork in probably 10 years. This one is close to my heart though, it's of my heart horse, a Thoroughbred that I ride dressage who I've had since she was 6 months old and she's 16 this year.
