SIM Game Night?

Post by Rochelle Bos »

So I have Jackbox games on steam, just curious if anyone would want to have a SIM Game night? :D I could host it on Zoom and screen share, and from what I understand anyone with a mobile device can play! No matter where you are!

If there is interest I’ll do a trial run and see if I can get it working haha then we can vote on a night that works for all/most!

Depending on how it works I’d be interested. I’m ok with zoom. Haven’t done the other gaming things though

Is anyone a zoom expert? Haha

The only thing we had trouble with was time sharing my computer sound (so people could hear the game audio) we couldn’t figure out how to turn down my computer share volume and turn up the chat volume. 🤔 I had the volume in the game turned down as much as I could without it turning off completely. Still not sure how to fix this, google isn’t being very helpful

Also I found out that there is a limit of 40 minutes in a meeting if there are more than 2 participants...but it seems there is a work around if everyone leaves shortly before the 40 min mark and then clicks the link again haha 🤷‍♀️

You could also use Discord's group chat option, it has video calling and screen sharing and the volume controls are a lot easier :P

I was thinking about that, but thought it would be nice to not have to make participants download a program if they didn't already have it :/

OH! Turns out Jackbox added the option to turn off the background music starting with party pack #4!

SO! What day(s)/time(s) work for people?

For me pretty much every day after 8PM Mountain time work because the tiny humans are in bed :3 I can also do Saturday anytime and just abandon my husband with the children :p

This, I think it's much better than Zoom, I used it with a group of people last night for the same jackbox purpose and it worked perfectly
