Remember 'The Mean Kitty Song" ? RIP Sparta

I don't know how many time's I've watched that video over the years... did so every so often when I wanted cheered up.

I was rummaging around YouTube tonight and came across this video that was posted last week.
Sadly, Sparta had to be put to sleep. I'm not sure how old he was when the Mean Kitty Song came out, but maybe...not quite a year, and that song was posted in 2007, so he was probably 13 to 14 years old. He it appears he had a stroke, along with a blood clot that ended up paralyzing his back legs - and his owner stayed by his side while the vet put him to sleep.

Watching this man tell what happened was heartbreaking. Made me think of all the pets I've lost, and held as they passed on. Jaya's recent health issues and me wondering for weeks if it was going to lead to her being put down has me a bit more sensitive I think, but yeah, I have to admit, I cried watching this clip.
