Re: SIM Mini Brags
I accidentally won a listed stakes with a claimer wearing the wrong equipment, the other day. I think the horse was surprised too.
It was definitely a first, and I don't see it happening again anytime soon.

Logarytm.
I hope the other owners don't disapprove of me making the race official now. They all seemed to be there for pretty much the same reason I was - since the field was small. Dusty Glenn's Spectacular Giant would likely have been the winner had he not gotten injured. Quick recovery, Giant!

Re: SIM Mini Brags
I just purchased this older mare at auction for $1 Dollar.
Andria
Turns out she's a Blue Hen and has foaled
2 Stakes
2 Allowances
2 Productives
2 Claimers
I decided to hypo her with my 'so so' stallion Heartborken
They got an A- !!! I have hypomated blue hens to Heartborken before and I think the best I ever got was B+ So that little nudge up, might make the difference...especially if a good slide is tossed in.
I've been hoping that he will give me a really nice runner at some point, and while my Foremost line produces great fillies, the better colts have been few and far between...but I do want another nice colt, so I decided to give it another try and chose a colt.
She is 13 years old, and I figured I would probably lose her...but she lived : ) So, next year, I hope to breed her to a really nice stallion...or maybe even wait until Mal retires and send her to him if they hypo mate well.
Also, if my colt ends up a stakes or freak... I'm naming him HaHa...as Heartborken was inspired by my golden retriever, HaHa : )
Man....there's a lot of hope riding on that $1 Dollar....lol.
