Re: Football
Loved going to Upton Park back in the 80's and 90's to watch my team Wimbledon play West Ham , Especially if it was an evening game. The crowd was right on top of the pitch and under the floodlights the atmosphere was brilliant. Only Problem was getting home. The police let the West Ham fans out first and left the away fans in the stadium and then they would escort you to the Underground Station where the West Ham fans would be shouting at you and throwing things to try to hurt you!! We would then be put on a train and the train wouldn't stop at any stations until we got to Tower Hill in case the ICF were waiting to get on and kick our heads in!!Eric Hamme wrote: ↑3 years ago Football? The Old Den was a very nasty place. Very intimidating especially the walk to the ground through some waste ground , Not great at night. The Harlequins wrote: ↑3 years ago Nottingham Forest fan born and bred, had some fantastic times both good and bad...mostly bad,but the Brian Clough years were a joy to behold.

It’s the Gunners for me! Fell in love with the club atmosphere and mentality back in 2011/12 when I first started to really pay attention to football, sad to admit some of that mentality is gone now and there have been things that have gone on that have tarnished our classy reputation a bit, but the club looks to be heading back in the right direction now so I’m hoping we keep up that positive momentum.

Am engaged to a West Ham fan. Apparently right now is the best they’ve done in 8000 years. This story made me smile.
