the speed of art
I've been posting my art on this forum for awhile now, and I am mind blown by how quickly my art is developing, and very pleased!
Heres a comparison of a headshot I did for Rocky's Star Shopping 3 months ago vs. A headshot of a filly of mine from today

Faking it till I make it, and then faking it some more.

Re: the speed of art
Practice practice practice...
: )
Glad to see you've kept up with the art and you are seeing improvement as the years pass.
I've seen YouTube clips of people showing art skills from when they first started out compared to like 10 years later and so many start out with some pretty good artwork...but the stuff they show 10 years later is mind blowing in detail and style.
It will be interesting to see what you are doing in another 7 years, given the progress you are making already. : )
Nice work!

Re: the speed of art
heres a really cool example, as the two artworks were created just hours apart
Both are of my stud, Astro. I had decided to draw a kind of 'conformation' shot of him and ended up absolutely hating my first attempt. So, I took my original lines and tried again, making adjustments in color and pose along the way and got a much more desireable drawing out of it!
Attempt #1:
Attempt #2:
yeahhh i also accidentally switched his socks around- oops!

heres a pretty cool comparison. Here is the same horse, drawn in roughly the same pose, three months apart
