Rest In Peace.... Olivia Newton-John

Post by Stormy Peak »

One of my favorite singers from the 1970's

The first time I ever heard her voice was on a John Denver song, "Fly Away" when that song debuted. I immediately fell in love with her voice.

Video performance of the song:

Later she started getting her own hits and I loved a lot of her songs.
I know a few of her songs, like from Grease (You're the one that I want) and the song Physical were huge hits, but my personal favorite was:

If You Love Me, let me know

I love the deep bass singer in this song...balances out her light lilting voice so perfectly.

No reason, as yet, has been given for the cause of her death, but I know she battled cancer at one point...makes me think it might have came back? She was 73.

From what I read yesterday, the cancer did come back for the third time, and this is what ended her life. She'd fought hard since the first time, but just could not beat it the third time. I enjoyed some of her music, and she seemed to be a very genuine, nice person.
