Do we have any idea when the vet will be fixed? I galloped/jogged some horses during the preseason and would like to run them W1D1, but would want to get clearance from the vet before doing so.

The vet is not actually broken. The vet has been reporting exactly how tired your horse will be on W1 D1. The reported tiredness has been frozen in time during the break. We plan to reevaluate exactly how we should deal with tiredness during the time between SIM years for next year.

so horses that raced week 16 day 5 that are reporting clear and ready to race are actually not tired and can race week 1 day 1 without injury?

Doable, but not recommended. Welcome to the age of First Class Shipping + Farms. We never updated how tiredness worked over break when we changed things from opening Monday to midnight after year turnover, so horses are getting extra rest time they didn't used to. Will be updated for next year.

If the vet is giving us reports for week one day one right now, do we know when he will go back to “real time?”

Week 1?

Yes, Week 1 Day 1 is what he is reporting now, and the next day he will report Day 2 info.
