I chose all the correct qualifications for my horse, but says he is not eligible for the race:

He is a 3yo QH Mid distance colt.
The race I created is 3yo QH 400 yd for colts and geldings, see image below.
Is there a reason why my horse is not eligible for this race?
This took me forever to figure out. All my test cases worked correctly.
It turns out, you have more than 5000 racehorses that might qualify for the race. The code assumed that 5000 would be more than enough.
So your horse will be able to enter the race, but it is having trouble showing it in the preview.
I'll have to think about this one before trying to fix it.

The particular internal search gets all potential racehorses without narrowing by specific age or breed. It was a convenient shortcut in the code with a random high limit of 5000. I will try to improve it sometime.
