That would probably make me sick ... going what feels like sideways at that speed, with centrifugal force added in around the turns. Cool idea, though.
‹Ali Hedgestone› Oh you get addicted to the crack after a while.
This spot reserved for my super-amazing TR stallion come Year 136.

for a few years we had the 'jockey experience' where you road a jeep along with the field (on the standardbred track).
people loved it.
we couldn't do it this year as we have built a 2nd turf course.
was cool while it lasted.

"The moving grandstand would keep pace with the horses, which typically run about 40 miles per hour," according to Lee.

40 miles per hour? These people have obviously never seen the horses @ Evangeline Downs.

I don't know why they think this is so new or special. Australia and the UK and Meydan have been doing this for years, with the little truck with the cameras keeping pace with the horses.

I mean, yeah, it's cool. But it's certainly not "a new view."

Save yourself some money, Mr. Lee. Put a camera on a truck, and run it on the infield alongside the horses.
 I always pay attention when Eric Hamme talks about horses running in Maryland.
