RIP Roaring Lion

Post by Katie Stepanian »

Such sad news, that following a third bout of colic, Roaring Lion was put to sleep for his own welfare. A real shame as only two days ago they’d shared encouraging footage of him several weeks after his last major surgery on the second bout of colic.
Hopefully this gorgeous grey, in his first and only crop, will have left some superstars behind.

This is just so devastating, I’m lost for words...

Feel absolutely awful for his connections.

Rest in Peace, Champ.

Damn it! He was so cool and I really thought he was going to make it.

This is so sad! If TB stallions could stop dying so young that would be great...

The Champion Hurdler Espoir D'Allen was also put down yesterday following a shoulder injury. He was 5yo and only the 2nd of that age to win the Champion Hurdle. He won by a record margin of 15 lengths. Such a sad loss.
