My fondest memory related to Empire Maker was once explaining to a big American Pharoah fan from whence a lot of that great ability came. Empire Maker was his paternal grandfather, or whatever that is called in horse families.

That's a tough one. He was the first Thoroughbred I picked, and followed. He was awesome for a little girl!
