Trotting in sweden.

Post by Polk Buffalo »

Trotter races in sweden continue to run every saturday as usual. Well, not as usual, no winners circle and no spectators. But if abstinence is big when it comes to live horse racing. I suggest www.atg.se
Would be interesting to know if all other countries have stopped all horse racing due to corona?
Races are live right now.

America has very few still racing and I'm lucky that one of them is very close to me however, tracks are dropping out by the week either because their meet ended or they've been forced to shutdown by health officials.

My racing channel does show Australian harness 4 or 5 days a week. Under similar circumstances. I thought I heard that they will still be going ahead with the Elitlopp this year?

In America, the politics is far more deadly than the virus!

Elitloppet will run 29-31 May. Probably no spectators and probably not so many horses from other countries.
That is at least the plan but things might change in 6 weeks.

("The Elitlopp" is "Elitloppet" in swedish, so both are correct.)

Japan is still racing behind closed doors, today is the Satsuki Sho (2000 Guineas). Pretty sure Hong Kong is racing too.

almot everything has stopped here as far as I know but the norwegian horses now run in sweden and we can even watch and bet on most of the races from sweden anyway so we might not be able to watch them live but we can still watch and if the abstinence get too bad I can always take a trip to sweden it is not that far lol
yeah I know that is not possible right now either though but one can dream haha
