Still struggle to see Fawkner getting the 2 mile distance despite yesterday's win. Considering his owner, I guess he'll go to the cup? Dandino and Jet Away massive runs. Suppose Dear Demi and Hawkspur were good enough. I'd cross a line through the remainder of the Caulfield Cup field going forward from a Melbourne Cup perspective.

Shamus Award winning the Cox Plate is surely a new low

He may go on with it though? I suppose SYT winning his first Cox Plate was almost as bad at the time. Bet Darley are disappointed they didn't run Guelph in the race.

Fiorente over the line in the Cup? Great run

caviars little brother jimmy who was sold for $5m at sales has been bitten by a white tail spider and is fighting for his life at vet clinic, had a reaction to the antibiotics and now has laminitis, hopefully they can save him for stud duties.

Can't be bothered posting a picture...but has anyone seen a picture of Rubick? He's got a lightning scar just like Harry Potter

Given the hype around him even before he started a race, he really is a horse version of Harry

He has certainly lived up to the hype. That race was scarily fast! That said, there were 3 class records set on the day, so maybe the track was playing particularly nicely for a Dead 4.

We'll see how much further into this preparation he lasts. Keeping 2yos going is such hard work.

Rubick looked like something was torturing him in the paddock with the fit he threw but didn't seem to mess with his race at all. I think I'm going to jump on the Chivalry bandwagon though, he looks like a really nice horse!

Very good call...think Chivalry is Guineas favourite at the moment

Not sure if this is going to be the best spring carnival...Cox Plate has Sacred Falls and Silent Achiever as favourites. Sure they're good horses...but a bit concerning they are the best we have

I'm having to "retrain" myself to stay up for the Aussie races again now that they are kicking back into full swing.

If Adelaide runs the same race in the Cox Plate as he did in the Secretariat last out, he could be one to watch. I saw him live in that race and there's just some quality about him that grabbed my attention right away. It helps that he's a stunning horse to begin with but he has that "it" factor (something I experienced up close and personal when he was in our laps crossing the line, haha).

What is going on with Earthquake? I thought I read that she was supposed to run a few weeks ago and scratched, are there any more publicized plans for her yet?

She ran 3rd in the G2 Furious Stakes a few days ago. It wasn't too bad a run, but the winner was just far too good for them.

Thanks. The one thing I wish Australia had a was free virtual stable type thing so I could keep track of horses down there without scouring the news every day.
