Question for our fearless leader

Post by Eric Gray » 1 month ago

Em, obviously you know much more about the sim than any of us and you obviously know it sooner. I never really thought about that until I started listening to the live calls. But today, I got to thinking a little more in depth and have a question. When we, or you, breed a foal, Do you immediately know,”this is the greatest horse ever?” Clearly you don’t know how the particular trainer/owner will campaign them but is there a way you know at birth that horse 1579998460, is going to be the *#%*!!!? Thanks!!!

Bonus points of 1 Sim buck if anyone knows the horse that I numbered.

Not best EVER, because that's more about good training and all that, but that it's GOOD for sure.

Follow up question, are you surprised often? As in, do pairings that you might not have expected produce a really good outcome?

Not necessarily pairings, but stallions surprise me alllll the time. Horses I didn't think would be good as stallions:

Sometimes, but rarely. It happens, where I go OH.... because I thought I was breeding a low level stakes and out pops a freak.

Man, I wish that happened to me. I figure I have bred a few 99K claimers.
