Yep, she's still holding out on us. I went out this morning to let her out of her stall and noticed that her bag is more full, though.. so that's a plus!

Well, she didn't hold out for much longer..

We went out to feed this morning, and had a lovely surprise in our stall. We totally didn't think she had had it because when my Mom and I woke up this morning, we shined the light out to where the stalls are and didn't see anything but the mare.. but the baby popped up pretty quickly when we started to get closer.

At first we thought it was still wet, but when we finally got into the stall and got close enough to interact with it, the baby was dry and standing and bouncing around.. it just hadn't suckled yet. So after some unsuccessful attempts (... at the wrong end), we directed baby over to the right end and it suckled away while we started to figure out if it was a boy or a girl. I guess boys love me or something, because we have another little boy. :]

I'll post some pictures later on when I get them uploaded.. and I'll announce a winner then. :]

It looks like Kaine Saracen was the closest for the foaling contest by guessing that Star would have a chestnut tobiano colt on April 8th, 2010, at 4:30PM (with her first guess). And Iggy Timeeczech was the next closest by guessing for April 10th at 8:30 AM. I’ll send your GP’s over ASAP.
