So You Think has run his last race? Very suss ending since the field that turned up was the best he's faced this year...there was no real point on going on and risking going out on a loss when he could end his career on that great Royal Ascot win.

Nonetheless...it's been a great journey with So You Think. Looking forward to seeing his progeny in a couple years!

(Helmet also retired a couple days ago...hugely talented horse when right but I've never seen a horse go out of form so quickly. He was woeful this year both in Australia and overseas)

Looking at potentially August 12th at Cranny for her first start :) (finally)

The name is also growing on me to the point that I like it

More bad news. Typhoon Tracy died earlier this week after delivering a Street Cry colt :(

Cerastium is having her first start on Tuesday!

Field: http://www.racingvictoria.net.au/racing ... de=5026373

Quite a few of them seem to be official trial winners...we came third in an unofficial trial once. There's a Freedman-trained More Than Ready who won his trial by 4.5 lengths as the topweight. So I'm not that confident. 5f should be short of her distance but if she's coming home nicely I'll be happy. Huge amount of rain around at the moment should help.

Although I could have beat that field, loved Pierro's win last night. Cox Plate at his mercy

That's awesome! How is he going compared to last year? He should enjoy the weight difference compared to Dunaden this year!

Who are the main international chances? (aimed at anyone northern hemisphere inclined)

Some American horses on the Cup trail like Sanagas, Winxchester and Unusual Suspect for those interested in that region

Also - Efficient was retired yesterday :(

Don't think anyone expected him to make it to the cup but it would have been cool if he was in it

red cadeauxs ran 5 times this year 2012 winning a group 2 over 1m6f but his best run was when 2nd in the coronation cup group 1 epsom 1m4f btn 4 1/2 lengths by st nicholas abbey(2011 breeders cup turf winner) but dunaden once again fininshed in front of him by 3/4 length in the hardwicke stakes royal ascot
