The Foaling Contest!

It looks like Tim Matthews won Expo's portion of the foaling contest, and it looks like Tim pretty much hit it dead on other than the delivery date!

Expo delivered early this morning (sometime between 3 and 6). By the time I went out to feed at 7, he had already dried off and was hopping around driving Expo crazy. He's a little black tobiano.. and is EXTREMELY curious. Unlike the first foal, this one's not really scared of anything. I went right up to him in my scooter and he checked it out and nibbled on it. He wasn't too thrilled when we tried to scoop him up to check to see if he was a boy or a girl.. but we're saying boy until a vet tells us otherwise.. ha.

I wouldn't be surprised if he shed out into a very dark (black gray), but then again he may stay black.

I think Tiffany's little guy may turn out to be Grulla or Smoky Black considering that the stallion is Cremello and looks to have have passed on the creme gene. His Star strip almost looks like a unicorn, dragon or wolf's head. Though I personally think it looks more like a unicorn's head. 8)
