Everyone brought home a check. =)

White On The Black surprised me by beating Ojibwa to win the Breaing Dawn Stakes. She's a 870 horse for sure.

Afra stayed undefeated. Yay!

Fayruz finished second by a head to Tsavorite in a game effort.

And Jazira stunk it up but at least managed fifth.

Good night, good night.

This is getting humorous. The mixed breed horses I still have in my possession are 21:0-5-3. That is not counting those I dumped because they stunk.

I hate mixed breed racing.

14: 3-3-2-3

After Burners (appy c) won the Dead of Night Stakes at 870yds. His second win!

Caught Speeding (qh f) broke her maiden at 550yds.

Onawa (appy f) broke her maiden at 400yds.

Ojibwa (appy f) was 2nd to White On Black in the Breaking Dawn Stakes at 870yds.

Moon Shines (qh c) was 4th in the Speeding Bullet Stakes at 220yds. I think he may be a 300yd specialist, we shall see.

Good week :)

It was an okay night.

My rediculously good mare Strawfly Firewater won her allowance. It's back to a stakes race for her next start. I'm crossing my fingers that she'll win and be my first stakes winner ever!

My other 2 horses placed out of the money in their maiden races even though they had a good chance to win, just an off night I guess.

My end results were: 36: 2-3-6-5-5 ... so 21 horses brought home paychecks to total almost $50,000. Not bad at all.

One winner was a 2yo Pacer making his debut. He's a grey colt named Emerging Cloud. Won his race by 5 lengths!!

Wineberg was my other winner. She is a pretty grey 3yo filly. I tested her at a new distance tonight and she rewarded me greatly with a win and a big 72 speed figure!! Check her out -- you'll be impressed (and I'm so thankful nobody claimed her).

Ibn Hafiza finished 2nd behind Midnihte in a 6F Arabian Stakes. His record is now 4:0-4-0 ... 2nd best every time! But he improved tonight so I'm happy. I purchased him for $7,500 two weeks ago and he earned me $11,000 tonight... so already made me a profit! He's a big handsome grey colt.

My two impressive 2yo quarter horse fillies gave big efforts in their debuts... can't wait to see them run again! Check out how close the finish was: http://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=66222

I had another grey (guess it was the day for greys!) 2yo Pacer named The Poser finish a very nice 3rd in his debut.

My two year old pacer had her first race tonight, 4th in an 11 horse field. I'll gladly take it seeing that my former trotter was usually last.

And my paint still is a horrible runner, second to last in a maiden. I'm getting oh so close to giving her the boot, but I guess I keep hoping maybe she might decide to get up and run...sometime...hopefully soon.

I will testify to the "Don't get rid of your mixed breeds until you try them long" thing. One of my previous stinkers stretchd out, not even that much, and went from stinker to winner. The other stinker, however, stayed a stinker, but I'm willing to give her one more shot.

I clearly need to try a different horse against Mac's Dashing Cowboy. I have one left and then it's someone else's turn.
