Both colts are Chinese Bandit - Cleo, by Loki Dynasty. Cleo is a half sister to last year's Two Year Old Marathon winner Caldron. Her oldest foal, Crashdown, is the 7f AW work record holder and has also worked 7f dirt in 1:24.26, pretty quick. Cleo is a great granddaughter of Rain Dancer. There is a Rain Dancer granddaughter by Chinese Bandit (China) who was a multiple graded stakes winner and whose eldest foal, Chancel (by Loki D) is a graded stakes winning three year old. I could not have hoped for a better breeding to produce twins. I am having whole fits over here.

I named them both from the movie Pinocchio. I figured Cleo was the goldfish in Pinocchio and "Bandit" reminded me of the bad guys in the movie.

Right before I clicked "breed" I thought "huh wouldn't it be cool if this actually produced twins?"

One of my mares finally had twins! Journey Remembered and Journey Recalled Sadly Wandering didn't survive the foaling, and she wasn't a spectacular producer, either.

I've lost like 5 elderly mares to foaling, since the twins thingE came about...none so far died while having twins...dang it. : (

Next year...my 22 year old Kris S mare, Kris's Intention will be bred to either Night Shade or Boogie Shoes...I haven't decided yet. I sure hope I get twins from her, because I'm pretty sure she's not going to survive the breeding.

That Scream everyone heard...was me....LOL.

Today I bought this 17 year old Nureyev mare:
Halwa Song

I saw she had been bred mostly to turf routers with mild success. So I thought I would see what a breeding to good turf mile sire might produce and I sent her to Red White And Blue at a stud fee of $75,000.

I got twins! Not only that my 17 year old mare did not die! :D WhooWoo!!!!

Here are my Twins...who I now need to name : )
Twin #1
Twin #2

Looks like I can quit pouting now about not getting twins...lol.

Stormy

EDIT: I thought using an anagram for twins would be fun:
So, I named them:
A Gentleman and Elegant Man
SIRES: Turf Routers - Each multiple G1 winners

Tuck Everlasting

Wolfman Jack
Fee $18,000

I bred my first set of twins on 6/4/09 and my mare survived, I got one filly and one colt

Heart Force
Delta Farce

Then I got another set on 6/8/09 it was quite funny really. I had taken my laptop with me when I rode with dad for his appointment so I wouldn't die of boredom and I wouldn't have to sit in the waiting room. I was in the car on the computer the whole hour and a half he was there haha. But Amy was in chat talking about her stallions being at 7k for the day and I really wanted to breed to Cancelled and I happened to have a dirt sprint mare left over. Well I bred them and we had just left the office and I practically screamed 'I got twins!!' which effectively startled dad and he looked at me like I had totally lost my mind. Yeah it was great, anyways here they are.
