I've noticed when sending Personal Messages in the Forum (no in-game), that some of my 'sent' messages sit in the outbox for some time. Does it stay there until the message is received?
I can be more specific if I need to be -
I sent a message to Cathie Morris at 4:10, and it still shows up in Outbox, but not as sent. Yet, there is a message next to it that says "Message sent at 4:10 PM".

I believe it does sit in your outbox until it is received - I've seen many other forums work that way.
