No winners, but:

Ciro ran third by just barely 1/4 of a length in the Ruidoso Appaloosa Dash.

Illegality ran second by 1/4 of a length in the Ruidoso Paint Dash.

Perfectly Painted ran third by a few inches over a length in the Ruidoso Paint Ladies' Dash.

The highlight of the night was finding El Pantera on the sales page for $1 million. As I've missed the past couple of auctions (of which I was royally mad at myself about from the last one on Sunday), I had more than $5 million in my bankroll waiting to be spent. I do not expect to come anywhere near earning back his purchase price as a racehorse, but I DO hope to earn back that and more by standing him as a stallion. Here's hoping he continues his winning ways, and he remains just as attractive an Arabian option as he was before his purchase! I definitely do not own any Arabian mares who would fit him (except Gametime Decision, but that's years away), so he will need all of the outside support he can get!

Wow!! Nikki, that is ... wow! I'm very envious right now!! :D And I don't think you need to worry one bit about El Pantera NOT receiving support -- he is, afterall, the best Arab in the Sim. (I'll see what I have left over after Rian has his way w/my mares! )

I ran two:

Trickster's Legacy needs 870 yards, I knew that, and yet entered him shorter anyway, and he finished 5th as a result.

Nar bounced back from 2 straight El Pantera run ins to take his stakes race over a very game Rian. Landon, it was your sponsored stakes, so next time the Arabians need a race, it's on me!

And wow, El Pantera has been sold! Good luck with him, I'm sure he'll keep right on rolling for you!

Sounds good, Amy. :) Rian is getting a 4-week break and will return week 6. The vet highly recommended it... so I'll listen! :D

I figured so! i'm really not that interested in Arabians, but I couldn't pass him up for $1 million. And I'm sure Los Vargas appreciates being a millionaire now. I also have Gametime Decision, so why not have two record-holding Arabs in my barn?

:D Well, if you ever want to get rid of him, I don't have a million dollars, but I'll gladly take him off your hands!!

I love Arabians and have 68 in the barn -- though 7 are up for sale.
