I revamped the page -- check it out and let me know what you think!! :D I think it's a little more user friendly now -- 3 sections: "sires", "broodmare sires", and "broodmare damsires"... and then instead of being alphabetized they are listed by stud fee under each distance they won at. So now all you have to do is find the distance(s) that your mare won/raced best at and then scan down to the stud fee that's in your budget. Quick. Easy.

Also, there are NEW Broodmare sires & damsires added to the list.

I love the new stud book that was added to the sim, but I like being able to quickly reference the distance a horse won at so I can match up to my mare faster.

Four Sixes appreciates it! I really love the distance sorting on the first page of this thread - very handy!

I'm sending G1 winner Wineberg to Four Sixes after her race tomorrow night. It was a toss up between Four Sixes & Goldmine, but Four Sixes's high speed figures (multiple 77's) at 650-yds vs. Goldmine's high speed figs at 400-yds won.

So I should have 6 of his foals after she's bred.

Updated with Dashing Cowboy & 400-yd specialist Buckskin Joe's. I'm standing Joe because I have a feeling he is going to produce some very nice 2yos & 3yos. He, unfortuantely, didn't debut until he was a 4yo. He won his first 2 starts, including a stakes race, easily. He is now a 5yo and obviously just plain past his prime. His record would have been better if he had been retired last year. Give this guy a shot with a few maiden winning mares and see what happens. :)

Also, for anyone looking for ideas for naming Four Sixes' baby, I thought I'd post where his name comes from. He is named after Four Sixes Ranch, which is a big quarterhorse (and cattle) ranch. Here is a link (I love the foal pics on this site!):

Enjoy!

You can also add Trickster's Star- stakes winning 870-yard specialist, twice runner up in the California Marathon (G1). Stud fee will probably be something like $5,000-$7,500.

I added Stake Winning 4yo Little Feller to the list -- He will be retiring at the end of this season. The black colt has shown good versatility in a very tuff division.... His highlights include:

2yo (Year 23):
2nd: 220-yd, NW2, (behind rival Four Four Forty Q & beating rival Fire Fire)
3rd: 350-yd, $75K Stk, (behind rivals Fire Fire & Four Four Forty Q)

3yo (Year 24):
1st: 220-yd, MSW, in 12.02 seconds
2nd: 220-yd, Alw, (behind rival Fire Fire)
1st: 300-yd, Alw, in 16.02 seconds (beating Dashing Cowboy)
1st: 300-yd, Alw, in 15.95 seconds (beating Wave Wave)
1st: 300-yd, $50K Stk, in 15.98 seconds (beating Fire Fire, Four Four Forty Q, & Wave Wave)
2nd: 300-yd, $50K Stk (behind Dashing Cowboy & beating Four Four Forty Q, Ghostfreak, & Kruytbosch)

Mary Weather gave her seal of approval:
"'Little Feller' galloped around the track as if he had wings! A very fluid and easy gallop, he caught the eye of all the other trainers!"

He worked:
100-yd: 6.31 seconds
300-yd: 16.01 seconds

Ghostfreak will be off the books for his first crop. The reason being, I'm not sure how he will do as a stud and don't want to put inferior bloodlines into the QH's so early into Mixed Breed racing. Call it a lack of confidence. If the first crop works well as yearlings, then he will stand for somewhere under 10K.

If you really like him, then pm me and we can work it out (i.e. free breeding) as long as it involves improving the QH pedigrees!
