We were so early though rofl. I thought we were supposed to get there early to get good seats and yea. So we sat inside and watched them set up outside. rofl.
where did you exit? If you exit 169 on 83 it's easy. CBY is right off that exit. If you take 101 just take 83, it only goes one way, and you can go in by the backside or go a block farther and go in by the valet.

We took US-52, then went on CR 42-W and then went on I-35W, MN-13 S (which is what confused us cus then ont he way back we went on MN-13 N).

If we wanted to get on 169, I think we'd have to go to Mankato and thats an hour out of the way.

i hate taking 42 anywhere, that's awful. You can take 42 all the way to 83 then go right.

You could go 52 to 55 and then go left on 13 where the 110, 55, 62 splits are. and take 13 to 169 south it's to the left. Take the 2nd exit the first one is 18 then 83 (canterbury road) go right. that's how i get here every morning, well - the 52 part. My farm is on 52/55.

If you need more detailed instructions PM me. I'm kinda an expert on how to get here from everywhere. LOL

This is becoming more official for me!

Gonna go to St Louis for friday night's Cardinal game. We'll (my father is coming with me) start heading north after the game for a few hours. We'll stop in at Prairie Meadows to see the place. Night racing that Saturday, so I won't get to see any live racing. :(

Then it on to see you all Saturday night! Where should we plan on getting a hotel for Sat night?

You can both stay with me if you want to! We've got a camping trailer that we park in the back yard, it's pretty comfy and has air conditioning and the like. Otherwise there is a lot of hotels around me or around Canterbury. The Canterbury Inn for one, plus an AmericInn and one with a wierd name.

there is a link to the hotels close to CBY. The Sandalwood is the other one i was thinking of. Those 3 are RIGHT next to the track. Like walking across the street gets you there, almost... LOL They are all in safe places. Shakopee isn't a hot spot of crime! hehe

I was thinking on Sat night we could go eat at the casino Buffet, it's pretty good. Or we could go to the Nook, which is in St. Paul, so about 30 minutes from Shakopee, but close to my house. It's SOOOOO good if you like burgers and fries that are to DIE for! mmmm

For Saturday night, I'm game with whatever. Just hoping to hang out with fellow SIMsters, wherever that may be! :)

I'd better check out the hotels, rather than your camping trailer. If it were just me, I'd use it in a heartbeat, but dad will probably appreciate a hotel room.

So, is there a get-together Saturday night, or is the plan to meet on Sunday at the track?

Oh, and we were looking and the Twins play Saturday night AT HOME that Saturday night! We are big baseball fans, and would consider going to the Twins game if anyone else wanted to!

I'm considering coming. It looks like it is just over 6 hours from me. It would be cool if I can make it because it would be my first SIM event. I would totally be up for a Twins game Leo!!

YAY!! Everyone should come!! SIM Events are amazing. If i know far enough in advanced how many are coming exactly I can get a reserved room area for us somewhere!

There are 5 Beds in the camper and I have a room in the house with 2 beds in it. I'ts cramped with both of them out though, but it can be done!

Em gets my sisters room! hehe She's in Washington til September.
