Hey guys,

I know I'm still "new" but I thought I'd post this because I count some of you as my really best friends.

My father passed away Wednesday due to complications of his medicine he was taking to treat bone marrow cancer. I kissed him goodbye as they did CPR, and it's been really tough.

I appreciate the sweet messages you have sent, Susie for Triple Act (you amazing woman you) and Nikki for Here for You. They may be just SIM animals, but it's the thought that counts.

Life is going to be rough right now, but I am so grateful to have this as a distraction from all the pain life is throwing me.

Thanks.

Amy, I'm so sorry to hear that. My dad was recently diagnosed with cancer, too... and though it's 'just' skin cancer (though, that worries me because my grandfather 'just' had skin cancer, too), I could not bear to lose him to it.

If there's anything I can do, let me know.

I <3 Amy, too.

It would have been helpful if Starcraft guy had a name other than Starcraft guy.

I'm so sorry for you Amy. My family heard about it in the Charlotte Observer, and my parents wanted me to send our prayers to you.

Oooh Starcraft guy could like, buy me mochas and rub my feet.

Thanks guys so much. It's really, really hard. I tried some retail therapy tonight - under my sinks will be organized, even if nothing else in my life is.

Alyse, I think my friend sent your dad a get well card a few weeks ago, I thought that was really funny.

Amy,
My dad was hit by a train last august. It has been over a year now, but it's still hard sometimes. I don't know exactly how you feel becasue everyone has a different story. I was a freshman in high school, sophmore now, and it is weird not having him around. If you ever need anything or want to talk, let me know...

My deepest condolences on your father. My father died 13 years ago, hooked up to tubes (he had a hemorrhagic stroke) - it's one of the reasons I do a lot of Hospice work now.

Every once in awhile I still "talk" to him, and I know he's listening
I'm just here for the fun of it
