Does anybody other than me find the Distaff near impossible to pick? What a classy, classy group of girls that is.

I earned 77 points - I was 3002 out of over 16000 players, so hey - top 25% seems OK to me :)
I'm just here for the fun of it

i got 61 points. if they would have let me change my picks I would have had another 7 pts... but that wouldn't have helped much. i got all excited cause at one point I was in the top 300.

i nailed both the mile and juv fillies in exacta order. i am still really sad about pine island... and lava.

i think someone should give a yearling to whoever got the most points

64... pretty good for someone who hasn't the ability to really follow racing.

Isa,

Most of us get most of our racing information and knowledge from television (such as ABC, NBC, and ESPN, not even counting TVG which a lot of us DON'T get) and from the internet. I get to the track four times a year at most and never attended a race until 2002. I started following racing in 1986. When I *do* go to the track, I count myself lucky to find people who've heard of the most recent Derby winners, let alone any other big national names. Having no racetracks in your state doesn't mean you can't learn a lot about the national scene, especially when we're talking about Breeders' Cup horses. Don't be so hard on yourself. :)
You're not getting a dead button...in fits of rage, John Slotman and Ara Davies and Jolene Danner would literally kill half their barns.

Ara,

You're speaking to someone who doesn't even have TV thanks to the stupid landlady who doesn't believe in TV. The most I get is from here. I picked my winners on who I thought was prettiest in Em's pictures.. and of course, Giacomo because I love him.

(I DID get to catch TGV at the local pizza place.. his late move in the classic was amazing.)

Yesterday was the first day I watched racing since the Preakness (I really even couldn't get myself to watch the Belmont) yet I don't consider myself uninformed. The internet is a far better source of information than television and I see you online all the time. And yes, I agree that you need to move. If it's because you can't afford an apartment that can give you television then maybe you need a different job.
