Re: Melbourne Cup Contest: 50K Sweep
ok so we need 2 people...I'm going to sell horses to people tonight for the money. just remember to return the horses to me. although I'll distribute yearlings I really don't want so if you want to keep the horse I give you, I probably won't have a problem. But I digress...
If we don't get the two people, I think I'll just take out the two longest horses. Hopefully it doesn't come to that since it'll be messy if one of those two horses does happen to place. Or come last

Re: Melbourne Cup Contest: 50K Sweep
Hey I'm going to do the draw now
So we have 23 people and 24 horses. Decided that now was the best time to do it since I have a bit of free time at the moment. I'm going to take out Gallions Reach from the sweep. He 's 200/1 and I don't think he'll be competitive in the race. I'm going to pay his 50K share but he's not in the sweep. So if he comes last, second last will win the last prize. If in the unlikely event he comes in the top three, the results will move up. i.e just say he wins; second will get the first prize, third will get the second prize etc.
If a horse is scratched, the person with that horse has the option of taking Gallions Reach or getting money back
Going to post the results of the sweep after everyone has paid.

Would it be possible to take the last spot for 50K? I just saw this thread tonight.

Re: Melbourne Cup Contest: 50K Sweep HORSES RELEASED
Hi Tasha
There is one more spot you can go for - since there was only 23 people entered, I left out the outsider of the field - Gallions Reach
If you want that horse for $50,000, I wouldn't have a problem with that
Alternatively, you could join the 10K sweep so look in that thread if interested
