Son of Light
Labeled by the Steward as a "freak on a leash" as a 2 year old, this guy just gets better and better. I'm not sure where he'll head to next season, but this year has been no disappointment. I'm proud as heck of him.

Re: Son of Light
He has definitely become one of my top 5 horses to follow in the SIM this season anyway (glad he now has his own page) and he was very well campaigned this season to complete his sequence of wins if i must say!

Fantastic stuff Nick i cant wait too see him strut his hooves again next year.. Have you a campaign in mind for him?
edit: just seen you have shipped to Dubai no need to answer my silly question.. Looks and ideal spot for a colt with his ability!

Re: Son of Light
Well, I'm totally blown away that not only did he achieve the Asian SIMMY for older horse, but Horse of the Year as well. I couldn't be prouder of the little guy.
I've posted in the Breeding section that it's possible that he'll be retired at the end of this season. It's all going to depend on the kind of season he has and if there would be interest. He's out stuck in the Desert for now and we'll take it race by race. With a good season hopefully he'll end up in America for the year end Steward's Cup.
Ah to dream.....

Re: Son of Light
Son of Light will definately retire after week 16. His introductory stud fee will be $35,000.
I will say that I don't necessarily want the market flooded with his foals so for however many of you choose to breed to him, I don't plan on letting his first crop get too crazy big. I have acquired quite a few mares of my own to breed to him, so I'll be watching the numbers. As much as I hesitate to raise his stud fee, I would take a page from Laura's book and just take him off the page.
If this bothers anyone I'll apologize now, but he's the first stallion I've campaigned and retired and I'd like him to be around a while.
Comments are welcome, I will take sensible advice into consideration.
