Free horses - nearing end

Post by Jeb Clampett »

It's that time. Anyone interested (including those who already have a horse) can now pick up to two horses from those remaining. Again, post your picks here.
---------------------------

Likely it reflects poorly on me, but dealing with "bread and butter" horses is just sapping my enjoyment of the SIM -- starting to feel more like work than fun. So, I'm really getting serious about pruning my stable. I'm pensioning a lot off. But there are a number who just don't seem ready to be pensioned. Rather than put them on the sales page, I'll listing some here free for the taking. There are racing horses who I think likely to win "bread and butter" money. There are racing fillies/mares who seem likely to break their maiden this year. There are retired mares who are winners and/or have produced winners.

Post here to claim. Offer open to any player at any level. You can only pick one horse until tomorrow at game time 20 Dec 5:00 pm. That's 7 pm US Central time (my time). For 24 hours after that, you can pick 2 horses. If there are any left after that 24 hours, you can pick 5. Any left after that, I will pension off and keep them frolicking at a farm. I'll try to keep it up to date.

I hear you, I have bred 1 5 year old g2 in the 7 years I have been here, & nothing close in the last 5 years. None of my steward breds have been good. I had Menacing & 1 filly that I finally bred, were nice in 7 years. Its just kind of getting monotonous, & I don't feel like my stable is progressing at all, despite breeding to the best studs in the game to non-maidens.

I'd like to breed something myself thats good for a change - see some progress.

Yes, you so hear me. And I hear you. The horses I'm giving away here are really good horses. But, they're good "bread and butter horses" and I just can't get up the enthusiasm for them that they deserve.

For me, and I think you, the big fun is in breeding (though I looked up Menacing and I'm jealous). I gloat over every homebred win and/or breeder's fee.

And, me too: I just don't feel like my stable is progressing even though I agonize over every breeding and spend lots of money on stallions. I've had some luck with Steward breds, but nothing impressive so far.

But I digress. These are, I think, very good "bread and butter" horses -- and, they're free. And if you don't really "hear" Greedtree and me, then they should be fun.
