Re: My (Crude) Sim Race Animator
If I understood how to program it, I'd be willing to give it a shot. To start off simply it could always just be an overhead view of the horses.

One thing I was thinking of. Is there a way to run this with a race without having to see the Derby when it opens? Like possible to just open to the race prompt?

I second that.Leonard Beagle wrote:Could someone sticky this please?
Also, if Ronnie doesn't mind a change in title...I think 'crude' should be replaced with something like 'little' 'cute' 'simple' or 'fun'......being there so many words that better describe that nice little SRA

Re: My (Crude) Sim Race Animator
I prefer the "Derby splash screen" but others may not so I posted SimRacerJB.jar to http://www.mediafire.com/?zzljmfwwriz. (I made a very simple one line change so the animation does not run initially.)Jarrod Brush wrote:One thing I was thinking of. Wow Ronnie, this is awesome. Thank you so much! I love the latest version because it has the calls and viewer in one place, but also because it doesn't automatically run the race first, if that makes sense.

Keith suggested the former and Jarrod and Jeb suggested the latter. These 2 sets of changes were easy to implement (under an hour to implement both changes) and I think improved things considerably.Alex Puderbaugh wrote:Wow Ronnie, this is awesome. Thank you so much! I am really looking forward to Monday's results. I plan on printing "My Entries" page earlier in the day and marking the raceIDs on the printed page. Then when the results are ready, I can have "my night at the races" from post parade to animator to winner's circle.

I may do something similar, but have nothing but maidens and NW types in monday.Ronnie Dee wrote: I am really looking forward to Monday's results. I feel a bit stupid for asking this, but how do you find the race's ID number?

Re: My (Crude) Sim Race Animator
In the URL bar of a given race...It ends with RaceID=122456 and the number is what you use...The number will vary, I just happened to pick a random one that one of my horses is in.Amelia Smith wrote:I feel a bit stupid for asking this, but how do you find the race's ID number?
