The grand National!!

Post by Neil Thorne »

Tomorrow is the John smith's grand National over 4 miles and 4 furlongs at Aintree.

Just want to know if anyone would be intrested in a sweepstake. If so i will be putting up 5k GPS to the winner.

The object is the first to pick two horses gets them two horses in the race.

Good horse with a live chance. Champion jockey and both jockey and trainer will go into race with confidence after today's win in the big one on alberta's run

my choices are

Flintoff- should stay the distance and is well rested after 103 days off the race track.

Character building - Best chance ever of a female jockey winning this race and i think that nina carberry is an excellent jockey

Ballyholland - Galway Plate winner in July 2009, been lined up for this race since then and stayed on well over 2m (a trip too short for him) in a Grade 2 last time out. Colin McBratney had the runner-up in the big 3m Handicap Hurdle today and Andy Mc rides - what more could you want?

Royal Rosa - Staying on over todays course when contesting the Becher Chase back in November, stablemate Frankie Figg should have won todays Topham Trophy over the course and the trainers horses are always well schooled for this race.

I will choose Pablo du Charmil for my second horse, for no better reason than 15 is my personal lucky number.

Sorry about the extent of how late i amin confirming the winners to this contest. ever since the day after the national my computer has been totally knackered and only just had it re-formatted.

so the results are:

Congratulations to pepper for picking the winner out of a near impossible race to call. the Gp's are shortly on their way to you.

Also congratulations to the rest who correctly got the 3 placed horses and to collect your prize then you will need to pm chani.
