I just had to start this thread for a amazingly fast horse who I have been admiring for quite awhile...

He just ran a amazing race today! Its just a hint of things to come for him!

also want to point out what a wonderful job his owner Jeb has been doing with him....this stud has not lost a single race and with Jeb's program, he is just loving it!

If you have not already put this horse on your alerts....he is one you don't want to miss!

He is for sure my favorite horse in training. I love him, and I'm glad his owner is finally showing some faith in him.

Thanks for a great post, Hope!

Hope noticed Heroes quite a while ago and it's impossible to overstate how much I appreciate her great advice, enthusiasm and support. She's pretty much my and Heroes' hero. :D

Thanks for the affirmation, Steward. I've always known Heroes was a very special horse, but I guess was slow realizing just how special.

I can't justify it really, but I've always thought that Heroes would be at the top of his game as a 4 and 5 year old at 1 1/2 mile (or longer). And thought I'd like to see him racing against the best at the top of his game. So, for better or worse, I have been working towards having him as a fairly lightly raced 4 yo with tons of confidence. And here he is:

Heroes is a bit of a drama queen: He comes from way behind way late and wins. Most of his races kind of looks like he just makes it, but he keeps making it, just running fast enough to win -- which is getting to be pretty darn fast. I've got to think sure has self confidence and wants those dramatic finishes. Hopefully, there is lots more drama to come.

Congratulations are in order for Heroes and Jeb, winners of the Kentucky Crown Turf this past Friday. Heroes beat a couple of very classy horses in Pax Britannica and Tattered.

Best of luck in the Steward's Cup, Jeb!

As was noted in Daybreak 6, Heroes and I hang out and communicate.

(Though by mutual agreement, we haven't talked about the SC)

Next year, Heroes told me he definitely wants to run in the Desert Turf Classic week 6.

So I've shipped him over there.

To give him a prep for that race, (unless one shows up on next year's schedule) I will be sponsoring a Grade 1 turf race for 1 1/2 miles at Desert Oasis Park week 3.

I was thinking about keeping it mum, but Heroes says "Bring It On!"

We're looking forward to a couple of great races!

After winning the "Desert Turf Classic" in super fast form.....Heroes in entered for tomorrow in the "Chief Bearhart Stakes" a G2 at again 1 1/2 miles!

http://www.simhorseracing.com/race.php?RaceID=152380

Heroes has won over 2.2 million and he will add to that tomorrow....

Keep this super stunning horse on your list of number 1 stallions to send your turf route mares(quality) to!.....I have a feeling hes going to be something really special as a sire, all the same!

Go "Heroes"!
