Melbourne Cup Sweep Interest Thread
Hey guys
With the Melbourne Cup approaching in about a month, it's time to start discussing the Melbourne Cup Sweep. I'm just looking for some names of interest for the sweep in this thread, there will be 24 places as always. With so many spots, it's a geat opportunity to get a huge payoff from a relatively small investment.
How it will work:
The sweep will work like a traditional Melbourne Cup sweep. Entrants will pay an entry fee of $60,000 in SIM dollars and in return will get the name of one horse in the field. If your horse comes in either 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Last you will in a prize.
All you need to do right now is to express interest in being part of the sweep. Once I have received enough people, I will then offer a horse to each person in the sweep for 60K. Accept the horse and give back to me a few days later. Once everybody has paid, I will then give people a number; this number will correspond to the barrier (gate) of your horse. I plan on doing this before the barrier draw is even conducted, so there’s no way I can cheat the system, not that I would but anyway...Then when the barriers are released, I’ll post a list of the horses; the race happens and I’ll distribute the winnings to the lucky recipients. Any questions, feel free to ask me
Prizes:
The total prize pool for the sweep will be $2,240,000 in SIM money. This will consist of player entry fees of $1,440,000 and my contribution of $800,000. If anyone wants to contribute any other SIM cash or other prizes, feel free to message me. The prizes will be allocated as follows:
1st: $1,140,000
2nd: $650,000
3rd: $350,000
Last: $100,000
Post in this thread if you want to be a part...At this stage it is one entry per person

Re: Melbourne Cup Sweep Interest Thread
I'm in for a Sweep!!!
Doesn't matter to me how much. I think the 100k would be fun but willing to go along with whatever is decided.
You do the draw, trust you, no questions asked.
Thanks again Peter,
JS

Re: Melbourne Cup Sweep Interest Thread
I'd be in, no matter how you decide to do it. I prefer the traditional sweep method and as someone mentioned if you do it as soon as the barriers are drawn there's really no way to rig it.
