The guy who invented instant noodles passed away today at the age of 96. His company made Top Ramen, Cup of Noodle and Oodles of Noodles... staple foods of undergraduates everywhere.

If not for this man I would have died during the 1995-1996 school year.

Well, I did also eat french fries and eggs from the salad bar. And toast.
You're not getting a dead button...in fits of rage, John Slotman and Ara Davies and Jolene Danner would literally kill half their barns.

I just wanted to say:

I absolutely hate instant ramen. I seriously have to leave the room if someone is making it; I can't stand the smell.

Regular ramen is awesome, though :D Beef ramen = <3. Especially if it's from Mr. Ramen down in Little Tokyo.

Eew, Top Ramen is the crappiest tasting instant ramen... (Still, I love my ramen but you can't beat the real kind, not instant, if you know what I mean.)

Real ramen is the best :D As long as it's beef. I can't stand any other kind :P

I feel bad for you, Isa. No ramen? None? That's so sad D:

I think me and my roomies had tried the 1 million and 1 ways to prepare ramen. It was the staple that we could afford. The most common meal was ramen spaghetti, simply ramen mixed with catchup packets (all the you could fit in your pocket when stopping in at local fast food place to use the bathroom) LOL those were the days... not.

I don't eat the stuff now, kind of lost any interest in it when trying #3 on the list of 1 million and 1...

Still...everyone else makes fun of it!

And, nice choice on location for your farm! Naming your African farm Blu Zebra is especially apropos.

I think the better tasting instant ramen brands are ichiban, and maru-chan. Of course Korean ramen aint too bad either, 'cept it's really, really hot.

My favorite kind I've tasted so far is Costco's chicken/vegetable ramen. It tastes more like gourmet instant ramen, if that's possible. :D
