cute, with three white legs, a white face, and very possibly a pokeable nose (the darn angle of the photo won't let me tell that last part for sure)?
My very brand new, real life, Grand Reward colt, who Racing Heart foaled last night! I've e-mailed Team Valor to see how soon I can get out there to see mother and baby . . . is it evil of me to hope that I bump into Serena's Song while I'm out at Denali?
SO excited I can hardly stand it! I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Racing Heart is a very good, very tolerant mother, which is a good thing, because he's a handful who thinks he's king of the world (not a bad trait in a future racehorse, IMHO). The fact that there are seven foals on the ground, and he's the only colt, isn't helping to correct his view on life. My favorite part is when he shoved her out of the feed tub while she was eating, because he wanted to check it out. Very agile, very active. I just love him. There will definitely be more visits this spring. Best of all, Racing Heart seems less nervous (I don't ever think she'll be calm, but it was a big difference), and has an appetite, although as it was explained to me "if you have a 150 pound parasite, you'd better eat." The people working with Racing Heart and son are wonderful, and I'm quite jealous they get to be with them all day long . . .

He's a very gorgeous foal Laura. I love that he thinks he's king of the world, not a bad attitude for a racehorse at all. I'll deffinitly be following him.
A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.- Pam Brown
